Adult sufferers find acne is hard to face

Age lines and acne? This wasn't supposed to happen.

Acne, normally the bane of teenagers, was flaring up on Kim Noble's 50-year-old face, causing the Atlanta businesswoman no small degree of frustration.

"I started when I was a teenager with acne problems, and as I got older, it got worse," she says.

"I was told it was due to stress and hormones. I've tried everything that was out there, from (rubbing) alcohol to injections to Accutane to Proactiv," says Noble, who has been seeing a dermatologist for years but still has flare-ups.

She's not alone. Dr. Jodi Ganz, an Atlanta dermatologist, estimates half her patients are adults with mild to severe acne breakouts.

"There are a ton of people with adult acne. For women, flare-ups usually occur the week before their periods; that's what we call hormonally linked acne.

Theatre investigation related to thefts

The theater reported a printer, cash, coins and checks stolen on June 18, 2007, but additional equipment was also discovered missing, Friends of the Children's Theatre board member Dan Conway said Friday.

"We've had some very expensive equipment that has been lost or stolen," board member Ken Freiberg said. "It was a big, huge surprise."

Conway, however, said he didn't think the equipment was that expensive.

Friends Treasurer Justine Franklin and board President Paula Collins said they knew of only the one burglary last summer.

The Friends, a support organization founded in 1970, did buy the theater group a digital camera to replace one that was stolen, Franklin said.

The burglary was notable for two reasons, board member Szonja Szelenyi said.

Heidi, Seal, and Cubs Hop From One Vacation to Another

Heidi Klum, Seal, and the kids looked adorably touristy with all their camera bags and fresh tans arriving at LAX yesterday after another vacation. From slopes to sand, these five have had quite the series of Winter trips so far. Speaking of trips, I thought last night's prom-dress episode of Project Runway was hilarious and awesome. My favorite challenge this season, and maybe in the top few ever. Heidi looked particularly fabulous, to boot. My favorite dress won (yay), while the person who was eliminated definitely messed up. I can't believe we're basically halfway done with the season already. Check out Buzz's recap of last night's high-school madness.
