This week Today and PM are broadcasting my radio reports on my Balkans trip. One of the frustrations of radio or TV is that you can find someone who has some very interesting things to say, but in the quest for balanced pieces reflecting the whole story I can only give them a half-minute or so of airtime. Here, I am not limited in that way. So, over the next few days I'll be posting four different stories about how people are reacting to the Serbian elections or the looming independence of Kosovo. They are not meant to be comprehensive or in themselves balanced: they are a snapshot. But I hope together they add up to a bigger picture. Rapper's studio Genc Prevlaka sits on a low, antique wooden stool playing a traditional Albanian wooden flute. In the corner of the small studio is a long necked guitar-like instrument which is a couple of centuries old.

The fact is that we live in a world no closer to nuclear disarmament than it was in 1958. Even here in supposedly peaceful Canada, we are in profound denial about the fact that we are a nation at war. Durable as they may be, I guess symbols can only achieve so much. The biggest game of the year will be on television screens across the country this weekend as the undefeated New England Patriots take on the New York Giants. But the much-anticipated football game won't likely be showing on screens inside the churches this year. .
Qtrax free music player disappoints
Qtrax had promised a working beta last night, but we knew there was going to be problems after visiting the website. The company warned that downloads weren’t yet available and posted this message on the site. "We're thrilled with the massive response we've received. To ensure the best user experience, we're activating accounts in stages. In the meantime, enjoy all the functionalities of the Qtrax player like importing and playing your music and searching for artist-related content." Disregarding the warning, we downloaded the 9.4 MB install program anyways. After the install, the program scans your hard drive for music and appeared to crash several times during the process. We had to continually close and restart the program to get Songbird working again.
Chrysler Expands CPO Program to Encompass More Dealers
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — As new-vehicle sales are expected to dip industry-wide in 2008, certified pre-owned sales are becoming increasingly important to dealers and automakers. In response to this, Chrysler officially announced late last week that it is extending its CPO program to encompass more of its dealers. All qualifying U.S. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealers can be authorized for the program, whereas previously, only Five Star dealers were eligible, the automaker explained. "We are pleased to announce the extension of our certified pre-owned vehicle program to all qualifying Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge U.S. dealers," commented Darryl Jackson, Chrysler vice president of U.S. sales. "Opening the program to all of our dealers is a win-win situation, in which dealers can introduce certified shoppers to the best assortment of pre-owned Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles available, and customers are invited to experience the Chrysler brand family of vehicles at a great value," Jackson continued.
