Suicide rating’ could be given to every new drug licensed in UK
Every new drug licensed in Britain will be given a "suicide rating" under proposals for a big shake-up in the rules governing pharmaceutical development. European regulators are also to require pharmaceutical companies to include a comprehensive suicide assessment into trials of new medicines. The reform, based on a system adopted recently in the United States, has been fuelled by a growing body of evidence that drugs that affect the brain can heavily influence behaviour through seemingly innocuous changes in body chemistry. Medicines to treat acne, swelling, heartburn, pain, obesity, high blood pressure and cholesterol, bacterial infections, smoking and insomnia have all been associated recently with psychiatric problems. There have been warnings about the potential side-effects of Acomplia, an antiobesity drug, Roaccutane, an acne treatment, and Champix, an antismoking medication, which together have been prescribed to more than 60,000 patients in Britain.
The Vicky Files: Is Emery in the doghouse?
Super Bowl Sunday is upon us, and in my opinion, the biggest story isn't the perfection of the New England Patriots. It isn't whether another Manning can win a Super Bowl. Or even if "Spygate" will hang over the whole thing. It's halftime. Ever since the "wardrobe malfunction", the NFL has chosen "safe" acts for its biggest stage. This year, it turned to "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul, who -- many, many years ago -- had a music career. Now, she wasn't the most gifted singer or dancer, nor was she the most attractive musician, but somehow, she maintained a career long enough that she got the producers of one of America's top shows to buy into her. Her behavior on that show often is cringe-worthy, but it's nothing compared to what she is up to now. You see, Ms. Abdul wants to pre-tape her routine, because, ummm, she is too nervous to perform live.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Joel Ortiz Off Aftermath? Is Bow Wow Crazy? Amy ...
Wow Bow doesn't have to do this. He doesn't. He can still make his name Bow Wow again. The rumor is that he got pissed off at Chris Brown and spit on his R&B counterpart. That's word to Omarion! Anyway apparently at a show in Dallas, Wow Bow ended his set off and accused Brown of messing up his set. How? I'm not sure how. Chris Brown is the headliner of the show, but I don't know what he did. Anyway, Wow Bow had to be restrained and out came the spit. I know this is only a rumor, but I have to ask: IS WOW BOW CRAZY? Now that I got a good laugh out of that, you should know that Wow Bow has stated on the record that this never happened. Chris Brown hasn't issued any denial. OBAMA HAS A SHOT! OK, I know one doesn't have anything to do with the other, but I thought I would say this anyway.

And if he changes his mind about getting in the race, Schoen said, Sheekey will be ready. "(Sheekey) has done a very, very sophisticated analysis of the electorate," Schoen said. "I think Sheekey probably knows more about American voters - and particularly these restless and anxious moderates - than anyone operating. And I think he has a sense as to what the electorate is looking for; and armed with that information and how the race plays out in the next two or three weeks, on both the Democratic and Republican side, I think you will see if the mayor changes his mind." Knowledge of the so-called Sheekey "master plan" has been out there for some time - perhaps it started here? But Schoen has been doing a lot of chatting with the media these days to coincide with the release this week of his new book, "Delcaring Independence: The Beginning of the End of the Two-Party System." .

For those who don't, incorrect forecasting will lead many to conclude that Elliott Wave Theory is obsolete. .
